Summer 2026 in Boston: A Season to Remember in the Seaport

If there was ever a summer to be in Boston, it was 2026.

From World Cup matches and international visitors to tall ships sailing into Boston Harbor and celebrations marking America’s 250th anniversary, this summer brought an unforgettable lineup of events to the city. Here in the Seaport, we had a front-row seat to it all.

And through every big event, busy afternoon, sunny patio dinner and waterfront evening, we were happy to be part of the season.

World Cup Fever Arrived in Boston

This summer, soccer fans from around the world made their way to Greater Boston for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. With seven matches taking place at Gillette Stadium, plus watch parties and celebrations throughout the city, Boston was buzzing with international energy from June through July.

The Seaport was no exception.

The neighborhood welcomed visitors from near and far, giving everyone plenty of reasons to spend the day exploring Boston before settling in for a meal, drinks and time by the water.

For us, it was another reminder of what makes the Seaport such a great place to gather: you never quite know who you’ll meet or what the city will be celebrating next.

Tall Ships Took Over the Harbor

Just when the World Cup excitement was winding down, another major Boston event arrived.

Sail Boston 2026 brought an incredible fleet of tall ships and vessels to Boston Harbor from July 11–16 as part of Sail250, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. The Parade of Sail on July 11 gave visitors spectacular views from locations throughout the waterfront, including the Seaport.

Watching the ships make their way through the harbor was one of those distinctly Boston summer moments. And from our waterfront location, we were lucky enough to experience the excitement right outside our doors.

Celebrating 250 Years of Boston and America

2026 was about more than just the World Cup and Sail Boston. Boston spent the summer celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States with events, festivals, fireworks and programming happening throughout the city.

From Boston Harborfest and Independence Day celebrations to the many neighborhood events happening across the city, there was always something happening.

For a restaurant in the Seaport, that meant a summer filled with visitors, locals, celebrations and plenty of reasons to gather around the table.

Patio Season Was in Full Swing

Of course, you don't need a once-in-a-generation event to make summer special in Boston.

Sometimes, it's simply a table outside, a meal with friends and the harbor in the background.

Our patio was the perfect place to settle in for lunch, dinner, weekend brunch or an afternoon drink while taking in everything happening around the Seaport. And our four-legged guests had plenty of reasons to join us, too, with our dog-friendly patio welcoming pups throughout the season.

Our weekly Yappy Hour Wednesdays gave dogs an extra reason to stop by, with complimentary treats from Polkadog Bakery and pup cups available for the occasion.

Because summer in Boston is better when everyone gets to enjoy it.

Looking Back on Summer 2026

World Cup fans. Tall ships in the harbor. Boston 250 celebrations. Long patio afternoons. Weekend brunches. Waterfront dinners. Dogs making new friends.

Summer 2026 gave Boston plenty to celebrate, and we were grateful to be right in the middle of it.

As the season begins to wind down, we're holding onto the best parts: the people who joined us, the memories made around the table and the energy that made the Seaport feel like one of the best places to be in Boston.
